  Year of the running back? 

  If you were/are the owner of Ronnie Brown, Deuce McAllister, Travis Henry or Rudi Johnson (to name a few), you know that this season’s running back field has been hit hard by injuries and suspensions. Because I have fantasy squads with a few of those players, and because it’s around the half-way point in the NFL season, I decided it might be interesting to compare the top running backs around draft time this year with the actual rankings going into Week 10. This is what I discovered…

  Rumblin’, Bumblin’, Stumblin’ – Fantasy Football Player Value Adjustments – Week 10 

  Here’s a look at the guys who spent their time in week 9 doing one of three things: rumblin’ up the player value charts with big performances, bumblin’ through a rough week and making their owners nervous, or stumblin’ so badly that their fantasy value took a major hit.

  

  Drew Brees: The fourth great game in a row from Brees should finally sway any doubters – Brees is back in a big way.

  Reggie Bush: Bush is back to doing what he does best – some rushes, some catches, some touchdowns, and strong value in PPR leagues.

  Lee Evans: Losman’s got his job back, and there’s no better news possible for his apparent soul mate Evans.

  Player (concussion) questionable for this week's game. 

  Ring any bells? (pun intended)

  Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more concussions in the NFL this year than in the past? Looking at ESPN’s injury report at this moment (just one week!), the following players are all suffering from the affects of a concussion:

  David Carr (CAR)
  Kenny Watson (CIN)
  Matt Schaub (HOU)
  Tarvaris Jackson (MIN)
  Laveranues Coles (NYJ)
  Dan Kreider (PIT)
  Travis LaBoy (TEN)
  John DiGiorgio (BUF)
