The following teams have a BYE in week 5, so keep this in mind when you’re perusing the waiver wire this week…

    • Chicago Bears
    • Green Bay Packers
    • New Orleans Saints
    • San Diego Chargers

Hey guys, I’m pretty sure Greg Olsen will pop up on the waiver this week. I had him for the first 2 weeks (which he failed in) dumped him, have Jerm Finley (who 0 pointed for me last week and blitzed it this week on my bench) and Todd Heap now who I think are more reliable. Also a future issue of mine is 4 of my 5 WR (sims walker, Megatron, BMarshall and JGage) have week 7 byes and I need to start 3. Some trading needs to happen, who am I going to have to part with? Cheers! Mal

I’d ditch Gage and pick up someone useful off the waiver wire to start, as he’s competing with Kenny Britt and Nate Washington for receptions in an offense that isn’t known for its passing game. For the others, you might consider trading Sims-Walker, who could be a great sell-high candidate right now and who you might be able to get a top-tier guy for.

As for your tight concerns, I’d keep Finley as I think he has a lot of potential. Heap will get you buy for the most part with about 4 catches and 50-80 yards a week (and maybe a score.)

Sorry, but I have to share this with someone or I will go insane. My 2-1 team was playing the 3-0 team this week and we went into MNF with him leading 86.75 to my 84.40 with only my player, Greg Jennings, to go. I figured it was easy money, 1/4 point per reception and 1 point per 20 yards, I got this in the bag. Of course, Jennings ran one bad route that resulted in an interception by Antoine Winfield, and Rodgers refused to throw another pass to him. This left him with 3 catches for 31 yards, and in our yahoo scoring format left me losing by a score of 86.75 to 86.70. This was one of the most gut wrenching losses of my 7 year FF career and I had to go drink a bottle of Jose Cuervo to get less angry. QB’s are so fickle. Someone please tell me they have a worse story than this so I can feel better. {:-(

I was up in my leauge 104 to 84 and the other player still had Jennings and Petterson to play. I was thinking i was screwed but thank god the packers sort of held Peterson in check and Jennings pooped himself. Sorry for your lose, but i was happy.

Drew Brees’ touchdown pace through four weeks:

    1. 96
    2. 72
    3. 48
    4. 36

I guess he won’t be questioned too much as long as the team is winning, but I’m sure some fantasy team managers are wondering what the heck is going on with their star quarterback. I’d say we can kiss good bye the thought that he’d beat Tom Brady’s 50 touchdown record.

In case you missed it, here’s the video of my boy Brandon Marshall’s spectacular game winning catch and run (compliments of NFL.com) to beat the Dallas Cowboys yesterday. It’s quite amazing to see the Broncos sitting there at 4-0.

There aren’t many receivers in the NFL who can score when the other team’s entire frigging secondary is between them and the end zone.

He makes them look like some D3 college or even high school defense…pretty hilarious.

Someone dropped Run DMC last night. Should I drop Larry Johnson and pick up Jamal Charles or McFadden? Also, any deep TE sleepers for week 5? Finally, sell high on Chris Johnson or Ronnie Brown? You guys are the best!

At this point, I see no reason to have Jamaal Charles or Darren McFadden on your roster. Keep LJ as he at least gets carries and is healthy.

As for your tight end inquiry, if you’re looking for someone long term, you might consider the Packers Jermichael Finley who had a great game last night. Brandon Pettigrew is also someone to consider.

For your running back question, I’d hang on to those guys unless you’re getting something really good in return. They should put up good numbers all year, even if their respective teams are doing terrible.
