Quick updates on Roethlisberger, Hardesty and White

In case you hadn’t heard yet, there have been some important changes in the status for a few players in the upcoming season. To begin, Browns rookie running back Montario Hardesty will miss the entire season with a torn ACL. I wouldn’t draft him even in a keeper league at this point. Another running back slated to miss the entire year is Denver’s reclamation project, LenDale White. White tore his Achilles tendon and should be no where near your fantasy football team (if for some reason you were considering it in the first place!)

Finally, Ben Roethlisberger has had his suspension cut from six games to four, which I assume was due to good behavior. While the fact that he’s out four games makes him nothing but a backup QB to start the season for your team, he could carry you down the stretch if paired with some mid-tier quarterback that can limp you through the first quarter of the season. The same goes for his former teammate, Santonio Holmes of the Jets, who can be had for a bargain and has looked great in the preseason.

By the way, Roethlisberger is the only Pittsburgh quarterback you really should be drafting. The other guys will be a waste of a roster spot and are no better than top 25 signal callers anyways.
