Reggie Bush possibly out six weeks with broken fibula

Early reports are indicating that Saints running back Reggie Bush has a broken fibula that could keep him sidelined for up to six weeks. This is obviously not great news for those who were using him in their flex spot and in PPR leagues and puts a damper on what was supposed to be a big year for Bush. Seems things are going downhill fast for the former USC star, who “voluntarily” gave up his Heisman award a few days ago.

Some people are thinking that this will boost Pierre Thomas’ fantasy value dramatically, but I’m not so sure about that. Bush has only had seven rushing attempts through two games, but had nine receptions. My initial thoughts are that the receivers will see a few more targets as Brees looks their way on what would normally be Reggie Bush-plays. That being said, I do believe the PT Cruiser sees a slight increase in his workload, which can’t hurt!
