Jermichael Finley possibly done for the year

Jan 10, 2010; Glendale, AZ, USA; Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley (88) during the 2010 NFC Wild Card playoff game against the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium. The Cardinals defeated the Packers 51-45 in overtime.According to some of my sources, it’s looking more and more like Green Bay tight end Jermichael Finley could be out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury he suffered this past weekend. The initial report was that he’d miss a couple weeks, but more recent reports are saying that he’ll be out 8-10 weeks and possibly the rest of the year. Considering most fantasy football seasons are 15 or 16 weeks long, it’s probably safe to drop Finley at this point, as he won’t be useful for you until MAYBE during the playoffs…but you most likely won’t want to risk it when your season is on the line!

The exception to this might in a keeper league (where I unfortunately have him.) However, I’m even considering dropping him in that league, since I just picked up Patriots rookie tight end Aaron Hernandez and might end up keeping him anyways! In case you were interested, Matt was the one who dropped Hernandez for some reason a couple weeks ago. Doh!
