Week 6 FAIL – It ain't easy bein' receive-y

Continuing with a new post for this season, here are a few players who just didn’t quite live up to expectations this week. Were they over-rated to begin with? Did they just have a bad game? Were they benched because their team was dominating (or getting dominated?) It’s probably just a one week mishap, but if they land on this list a couple weeks in a row, you might start worrying! Anyways, feel free to add to the discussion with your own. Maybe someone that you blame this week’s loss on?

This week’s list is headlined by a group of young, top-tier receivers who were gaurenteed to be in starting line-ups after their performances last week. Let me just throw a couple numbers at you…

Week 5
– Miles Austin: 9 catches, 166 yards, 1 TD
– Malcom Floyd: 8 catches, 213 yards, 1 TD
– Hakeem Nicks: 12 catches, 130 yards, 2 TD
Total: 39 catches, 509 yards, 4 TD

Week 6
– Miles Austin: 2 catches, 12 yards
– Malcom Floyd: 2 catches, 15 yards
– Hakeem Nicks: 3 catches, 8 yards
Total: 7 catches, 35 yards
