Week 15 FAIL: Minnesota Vikings

Here are a few players who just didn’t quite live up to expectations this week. Were they over-rated to begin with? Did they just have a bad game? Were they benched because their team was dominating (or getting dominated?) It’s probably just a one week mishap, but if they land on this list a couple weeks in a row, you might start worrying! Anyways, feel free to add to the discussion with your own. Maybe someone that you blame this week’s loss on?

This semi-final week is headlined by a team that tried their hardest to screw as many people in the fantasy football world as possible…the Minnesota Vikings. First Yahoo goes and makes alleged starting quarterback Joe Webb eligible at the wide receiver position, tickling the fancy of team managers looking to sneak attack their way into the championship. The Vikings had plans of their own however. After listing Brett Favre as “Out” earlier in the week, they surprisingly upgrade him to “questionable” the day before the game (after waivers were locked in many leagues.) Those hoping to play Joe Webb immediately start panicking. To make matters worse, the team deactivates star running back Adrian Peterson a couple hours before gametime, screwing over the team managers who weren’t able to secure Toby Gerhart as his hand-cuff ahead of time. Anyways, Favre goes out and gets hurt and Joe Webb doesn’t impress, as the entire team rolls out a mediocre offense and a terrible defense. The Vikings are potentially the worst team in the league right now and have some serious issues heading into next season. FAIL.

I’ve included the entire season count of FAIL’s as a separate worksheet in the spreadsheet, so you can click the “Season” tab and see where each player stacks up. As usual, drama-king himself, Brett Favre continues to lead the pack!

Anyways, here are the rest of them (and here’s a direct link to the spreadsheet)…
