  FFLibrarian's 2010 fantasy football accuracy rankings 

  The Fantasy Football Librarian has just published her Fantasy Football Accuracy Rankings for 2010 and what do you know, we ended up #14 out of 50 in the “Most Accurate Rankings Across All Positions” category. Not too shabby, eh! Last year we didn’t crack the top 15 when there were 48 sites, so we’re at least showing some signs of improvement!

  The goal next year will be to crack the top 10, so we’ll see how that goes. Anyways, congratulations to Bruno Boys, who were the most accurate in terms of preseason rankings this season.

    Congratz guys! I didn’t realize you had put up any preseason rankings for the FFlibrarian’s contest. I must have missed them.

    Congratz to John Paulsen of the Scores Report for being the most accurate expert overall in weekly projections by a sizable margin. Also congratz to Andy Behrens and David Dodds who seem to finish top 5 every year.

    Nice work Geeks. Fortunately for all of us, the Fantasy Football season only begins with Preseason Rankings (aka the Draft), but the money is made managing your starters and the Waiver Wire.

      Thanks man…and I agree, by the end of the season, when I look at my roster, it’s only a skeleton of what it looked like on draft day!

    Nice job! I don’t know why we at FFS weren’t iincluded in the rankings contest this year (we had participated in ’08 and ’09) but we did take part in the 2010 Fantasy Football Projections category and took 3rd overall. I look forward to next year and also competing with you in the Rankings contest in ’11!

  GoAheadScore.com charts and stats 

  Just wanted to give a quick preview of things to come next season. We’re currently working with the fantasy football (and regular football) stats site GoAheadScore.com to generate charts showing player performances over a given period of time. My initial thinking was to show the stats of a couple free agent pick-ups over the past couple weeks, which could give our readers a heads up as to how consistent a player they are targeting has been over the past few weeks. Anyways, here’s a quick chart I made up to show what I’m talking about…

  

  Note: These guys probably weren’t free agents over the time period I’m showing

  We’ll most likely be using these charts next season, but in the meantime, make sure to check out GoAheadScore.com if you’re interested in charts (and any other stats) for your own purposes.

  Who’s drafting a 49 year old Herschel Walker for their fantasy team next year? The former NFL running back and current MMA fighter is thinking of making a comeback and wants to play for the Vikings or Falcons. One thing he has going for him is that he can probably do more sit-ups and push-ups than anyone currently in the league!

    I would just like to mention that part of this movie was filmed in a boys home called Rancho San Antonio in Chattsworth California. I would also like to mention that this “boys home” is a disastrous place where children like me are forgotten about. Though I managed to make it out alive a few years prior to the release of the movie, I will recognize that swimming pool anywhere. Thank you hollywood for reminding me of those horrible days, and thanks to Rancho San Antonio administrative staff for blissfully fulfilling your psychology internships whilst watching the movies.
