Remember when Matt complained about ESPN’s prizes for their fantasy football challenge? Well, looks like someone won…and it was a homeless man? This also reminded me how crappy that grand prize was to begin with…

That’s freakin’ hilarious. ESPN is such a crappy fantasy football platform.

In any case, I hope you guys ended up having a good year! I won my money league, and a few more. To be honest I’m just looking forward to March Madness. I don’t even want to start thinking about the looming NFL lockout 🙁

I ended up with a second place finish in my biggest league, so that wasn’t all bad I guess. I DID get first place in a public league I was in that had no playoffs and a crazy (changing) scoring system, hah. If I want to continue to blog about fantasy football though, I need to get some more first place finishes in real leagues!

As for March Madness, I’m pretty happy with the way the UConn Huskies are currently playing. Hopefully they can make a run when the tournament comes…

Check out the cover of the New York Post via a tweet by ESPN’s Kevin Negandhi…funny stuff.

Update: Thought that was good? Check out Boston Metro’s cover! (via CNBC’s Darren Rovell)

When it rains in the Favre household…it pours! And by rain, I mean the condensation from an exploded crystal meth tank.

This kind of “news” just kills me. Would anyone care about hearing about this if her last name wasn’t Farve? Its too bad she got messed up on that crap (I had a cousin go down that same path and it weren’t pretty), but why is it national news? She made some bad lifestyle choices and will most likely pay the price. It’s been done before and I am sure it will be done again…

Just wondering if all the the Jets (e.g. Rex Ryan, Antonio Cromartie, etc) unsubstantiated trash talk this week has turned previous Patriots-haters into Patriots fans for at least the week? At this point I want New England to beat the Jets by 100 and see if that’s enough to get Ryan fired for completely embarrassing his team.

It seems to me that they’re just having fun with it (the trash talk). Look, the Pats are going to absolutely annihilate the Jets, and I think most Jets players know this. I mean, they’re obviously heavily favored here. I see nothing wrong with a little trash talk to lighten the mood.

Yeah, you’re probably right. It’s entertaining at least. I still stand by my last sentence though 🙂

I’m impressed by Rex Ryan for his audacity. He has no business trash talking Belichick.. I mean these guys aren’t even in the same league, but he does it anyway. Conversely, I’d love to see a Jets win this weekend but you’re not going to catch me trash talking any of my Patriots-loving friends.

I agree, it all part of the entertainment. The problem is it seems like none of the other games are getting any national coverage. The Steelers-Ravens matchup is going to be a street brawl! The GB-Atl game should be a good one, and the Bears-‘Hawks game is watchable (for a little while anyway) just in case the Seabirds decide to do something on the road besides lay down and die on it.

Google Ads knows all about Rex Ryan

While reading a recent story on ProFootballTalk about Rex Ryan giving the Patriots more bulletin board material (does he ever shut his mouth? No) I noticed an interesting ad by Google on the sidebar…

    rex ryan loves the spa

Open mouth, insert foot, close eyes and moan with delight!
