Check out this article (via Razzball) for some interesting trade advice. It basically follows the theme of taking advantage of the misfortunes of others…which is always fun in fantasy football.

        Turner, especially since he’s healthy

is burleson lynch trade fair? i’d be giving nate and getting marshawn

      • Brandon 2:21 pm on September 23, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Sounds fair based on player value. Why do you want Marshawn though? You that desperate at RB?

      jones, tate, peterson, mcgahee, hardesty

Felix Jones? You’re solid this week with Peterson and Tate. Felix should be back and going next week two, so not sure you really need Lynch. You have lots of spare WR depth that you can give up Burleson?

Why do you answer other question, but not mine. I don’t wanna rely on ur ratings. Questions make you focus on one person over the other, and make have a more honest answer.

          • Brandon 8:13 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I think I answered that other question before I had my rankings up or something. Anyways, go Deion Branch. He’s likely to get a lot more looks, especially with Aaron Hernandez out this week. Good luck!

      Hey Brandon,

Who has greater value going forward? James Starks or Ryan Matthews? I am trying to put one of them in a trade with Vernon Davis for Desean Jackson.

      • Brandon 8:14 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I like Ryan Mathews. The run game for the Chargers seems to be working well and I don’t see Starks doing much more than what he’s already done. They’re pretty close though, but Vernon Davis and Starks seems like a fair trade for DeSean Jackson.

      • Mal 10:03 pm on September 25, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I’m in a 10man league and dropped Grant on the waiver, so I would think Starks is just as valueless. it’s tough with a RB splitting carries in a team that airs it out… Very unreliable for points.

Would you trade Felix Jones for Beanie Wells?
Would you trade Jonathan Stewart for Jermichael Finley? I already have dustin keller

      • Brandon 8:15 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Yes to the first one and for the second one, do you need another TE? Do you have a lot of depth at running back? Can you play two tight ends if you ever wanted to?

Who should I drop… Hines Ward, Early Doucet, Mike Sims-Walker, or Reggie Wayne? I’m thinking about dropping those mentioned to add David Nelson. I need your advice?

I’ve got some lineup issues this week and would appreciate some help. PPR league and I need to start 1 WR, 1 RB, and one flex, out of the following:

Santonio Holmes, Steve Smith (Car), Ahmad Bradshaw, Jahvid Best, Ryan Mathews

Currently leaning Smith, Best and Mathews but it’s a big matchup and I’d like more opinions. Thanks!

      • Brandon 8:22 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Steve Smith at WR, Ryan Mathews at RB and Jahvid Best at flex…so looks like we’re on the same page!

who should i start week 3, Jackson v.s. NE or Blount v.s. ATL?

      • Brandon 8:17 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Fred Jackson gets my vote, but it’s REALLY close. If you look at my rankings, Jackson is just one spot ahead of Blount. Good luck either way!

Would you trade Ahmad Bradshaw straight up for Devery Henderson? I have Brees at QB, Bradshaw, Jackson, Sproles, Tolbert and Kuhn at RB and Calvin Johnson and Nicks at WR

      • Brandon 8:20 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I feel like there should be a better WR out there you could get for Bradshaw. Are you looking for an upgrade at WR3 or something?

      • DaveW 11:52 am on September 25, 2011 Permalink | Reply

henderson is only a temporary grab. when colston is healthy again hendersons numbers will likely drop. giving up bradshaw may or may not cost you down the line.

    • andy 5:20 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Do you think David Nelson or Mike Sims Walker? I’m thinking St Louis will be passing more because they are so beat up at RB, but Nelson might rack up some yards in a shoot out with New England

      • Brandon 8:18 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

It’s hard to bench Nelson when the Patriots continue to give up tons of yards in the passing game. In terms of the Rams, you could look at it the other way. Since the running game is so banged up, the defenses can focus on the receivers and shut down the passing game.

Can you tell me if you think I should change anything up before game time? Thanks in advance, Brandon.

QB – Tarvaris Jackson (disgusting, I know. No other option)
      WR – Hakeem Nicks
      – Eric Decker
      RB – LeSean McCoy
      – Bernard Scott
      TE – Jermichael Finley
      W/T – Jordy Nelson (WR)

WR – Nate Burleson, (Mario Manningham)
      TE – Ed Dickson
      DEF – NOLA

0-2 in both leagues. Just trying to turn that around in my rookie FF season. Thanks man. Much appreciated!

      • Brandon 10:40 am on September 25, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Whoa, couple quick changes on RB. On the first team, get Ben Tate in there over Darren Sproles. For the second team, get Beanie Wells in there immediately instead of Bernard Scott (he doesn’t take over for Benson until NEXT week!) 🙂 Good luck

      • Brandon 10:43 am on September 25, 2011 Permalink | Reply

this is assuming Beanie Wells plays of course. just keep track of the situation up until game time if you can wait that long. I’d also stick Burleson in there fro Eric Decker or even Jordy Nelson, as he’ll likely be more consistent.

Appreciate the help. I’m really gonna have to evaluate the players and my teams this week. 0-3 in both, unfortunately. But hey, at least I’m having fun??? Nah, that’s not it. But again, thanks Brandon!

          • Brandon 11:06 am on September 26, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Wow, looking at that advice I gave you it probably didn’t help all that much! Hopefully you found out Beanie wasn’t going to play and didn’t start him. You’re in a tough position, as is everyone who drafted Arian Foster or Jamaal Charles. Hopefully next week treats you a little better 🙂

            • Neil 1:52 pm on September 26, 2011 Permalink

yea, ended up with Beanie in the starting position and had no one to sub hm once i found out he wasn’t playing. If he’d played, i woudl have won one. oh wel..

          • Brandon 1:54 pm on September 26, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I guess with Bernard Scott being your only other option, you probably wouldn’t have done all that much better. Bad luck with Foster and Wells on your roster this week I guess.

Start newton or rivers? As for wr depth. Bryant, manningham, burleson, amendola, mccluster. and as for my flex. Shoud I start burleson, mccluster, or fjoes. It’s a 1pt ppr.

      • Brandon 10:36 am on September 25, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Go Rivers. I have him as one of the top QBs of the week. At WR, Manningham is out, so don’t play him. Go Burleson, McCluster and then probably wait until the Cowboys game and hope that at least one of the two (Bryant or Jones) plays. Good luck!

one more time…1qb-2rb-2wr-te-flex-k-def. who do i start? i have no depth at WR and the flex wont work because i have 4 starting rb’s. Danny Amendola, Dez Bryant, Matt Bryant, Nate Burleson, Montario Hardesty, Felix Jones, Mario Manningham, Dexter McCluster, Willis McGahee, Cam Newton, Packers , Adrian Peterson, Philip Rivers, Ben Tate, Jason Witten

Rivers, AP, Tate, Burleson, McCluster, Witten, Hardesty (now that Hillis is out.) Good luck!

    Pick up Bernard Scott

Bengals running back Cedric Benson will begin serving a three game suspension following this week and Bernard Scott will start in his place. Could be perfect timing for a lot of people who are shallow at the position and who have a running back on a bye in those three weeks. Just scooped him up in all of my leagues…you should do the same…QUICK!

I have Cedric Benson, Felix Jones, MJD, Joseph Addai, and Roy Helu at RB. Do you think I should drop any of these guys to pick up Bernard Scott? Or, rotate them during Cedric’s possible suspension?

      • Brandon 11:04 am on September 23, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I’d think about dropping Roy Helu for Scott. Bernard Scott could very well be your best running back in weeks 4-6, with the Bengals playing Buffalo, Jacksonville and Indianapolis, the 2nd, 28th and 5th worst run defenses in the league. As long as Tim Hightower is healthy, Helu won’t be very consistent and you won’t want to start him, so maybe he’s even available in week 7 when Benson comes back.

Nah, keep those guys. Scott only has value in weeks 4-6. Those guys will help your team all year.

      • Brandon 11:33 am on September 23, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Not this week, as Cedric Benson is still playing. But in weeks 4 and 6 (and probably 5 too) I would most definitely!

League 1: Caddy, Addai, Jonathan Stewart (I’m thinking Caddy)
League 2: Mike Thomas (WR), Dexter McCluster (I’m thinking Thomas)

      • Brandon 8:07 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

I dropped Cadillac in one league for Scott and if you have the WR depth in the other league, you could probably drop Thomas. This all depends on you needing Bernard Scott in the first place. If you won’t start him in weeks 4-6, then you probably don’t need to worry about it.

    • andy 2:03 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

would you start him over starks or hightower?

      • Brandon 8:06 pm on September 24, 2011 Permalink | Reply

Don’t start him this week, as Cedric Benson is playing. When he’s suspended in weeks 4-6 though, you might seriously consider Scott in weeks 4 and 6 against some bad run defenses. Check back then though!
