User Requested Player Rankings – Week 11
As with last year, instead of automatically ranking every player at every position (like the big sites with the big bucks do :-)), I’ll be ranking all requested players against other requested players. For example, if you have four wide receivers and you’re trying to fill three spots, you just comment with the four names and I’ll rank them against each other. In essence, this will accomplish the same thing as if you were to scan a complete list of wide receivers for where your four guys rank.
Here’s a link to the Google Doc spreadsheet for those viewing on mobile devices. Anyways, feel free to start submitting names for me to rank! I’ll start the list off with a few guys that were on the list last week.
Just a disclaimer…I’m more likely to put your players on the list faster if you just give me a couple names to compare. When you comment with your entire team, it makes me less likely to get the players listed until the very last minute. (View the rankings after the jump)… (More …)

Can you please add Blount? Trying to decide on which two to start out of Blount/Wells/Green-Ellis.
I feel like it’s a lose/lose situation regardless of which two I choose. 🙁

can you add D murray , AJ green, l robinson and b. marshal and who should i start (i have drew brees who has a bye) tebow or A. Dalton
Mike 10:03 am on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
Tebow. I think he will be forced to run it. I have serious doubt s about whether he will get much passing, especially with 2 of the best corners playing on the Jets. Im hoping for heavy ground yardage out of necessity. At least one TD
Brandon 10:08 am on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
Just added those guys. As for your quarterback, Dalton has a tough match-up and I think you go with Tebow, who has the most upside for sure.

I have a Gore issue.
With Foster on his Bye I thought it would be good to pick up Gore. Well not so good at the moment.
My line up:
Romo
Cruz
Damian Williams
Marshawn Lynch
Reggie Bush
Flex
Ballard
Janikowski
49s
Should I play gore even if he is limited or do you think they will rest him especially since next week they have a Thursday game against the ravens? Should I rely on Hunter as a back up or just stay away from 49s all together this week and pick up Vincent Brown for my flex?
james hance 5:56 pm on November 15, 2011 Permalink |
and cincinati defence vrs the ravens or Dallas defence vrs the redskins

start V brown over bennet
Brandon 10:09 am on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
If you have the roster space, feel free to pick up Vincent Brown. He should continue to get plenty of looks with defenses focusing on Gates and Vincent Jackson.

Fred Davis over Greg Olsen? That’s how I have them ranked if that’s your question.
Chris L 7:35 pm on November 15, 2011 Permalink |
also R.bush over Gore?
Brandon 10:31 am on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
I have Reggie Bush one spot ahead of Gore at the moment. I’m concerned with Gore’s health as he’s now nursing two injuries, while Bush is in the midst of the best games of his life.

I would sit Green and start Lloyd. Green with a sore knee up against a pissed off Ravens d that lost to the seahawks is a recipe for a bad day.

If McGahee doesn’t play tomorrow, you have to start Lance Ball with DeMarco Murray. If it appears that McGahee will start though, then go with Benson over Ball. Good luck!
Neil 10:08 pm on November 15, 2011 Permalink |
Please add:
WR – AJ Green, Laurent Robinson, Jordy Nelson, DeSean Jackson
RB – BJGE
Thanks.
And, do you think (based on this past sunday’s 55-8 runs:passes ratio that Lance Bell will be a better start over BJGE?
Brandon 10:48 am on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
Just listed them. I would probably start Lance Ball over Green-Ellis no matter what, but especially if McGahee is out tomorrow. Green-Ellis is just too inconsistent at this point to really count on.

what do you think for 1wr & 1flex (0.5 ppr, 1pt/20yrds receiving but 10yrds rushing, usually favors rb’s): brandon llyod, aj green (w/ and w/o since GTD), beanie wells, lance ball (if w/ and w/o mcgahee in the lineup).
i got a few qb’s for the list for the best 1wk brees replacement? sanchez, haselback, sam bradford, alex smith, matt moore, andy dalton, john skelton, & vince young. thanks!
Brandon 10:39 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
If McGahee plays, go Brandon Lloyd and A.J. Green (assuming he plays – go Wells if he doesn’t). If McGahee doesn’t play, go Lloyd and Ball.
At QB, I’ll have those guys added to the list shortly.

What do you think about dropping Detroit’s D for New England’s D?
Brandon 10:41 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Probably not a big deal. Detroit has a tough next couple games (although they could give Cam Newton some trouble.) I like New England in most of their match-ups more than Detroit at this point.
The Don 1:49 pm on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
Okay okay who gets the flex spot L Robinson orrrrrrrrr Ryan Matthews
Brandon 10:51 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
That’s a tough one and it seems crazy, but I think I go Robinson this week. As long as Miles Austin is out, Robinson will get plenty of looks and has a knack for finding the end zone.
The Don 12:00 pm on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Okay smart guy even tougher one for ya
Juliio Jones, Ryan mathews A hernadez or percy harvin? Only one which guy is money?
Brandon 9:31 am on November 19, 2011 Permalink |
Looks like Julio Jones may not even play, so that takes him out of the equation. Go Ryan Mathews and hope he can pick it up a bit from what he’s been doing recently.

ok thanx, also which QB should i pick up? Hasleback, tebow, flacoo, dalton, or palmer?, my starter (brees) has a bye
TJ 8:42 pm on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
Pls add Tony Gonzalez, Ray Rice, Pats D/St.
And: which D/St would you guys keep for ROS: SF or NE?
(STD defensive scoring plus 1pt per 10 kick return and per 20 punt return yards – both seem to have decent return teams……).
james hance 9:26 pm on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
id say SF, just my two cents
Brandon 9:32 am on November 19, 2011 Permalink |
Stick with San Francisco. The Patriots schedule may be easy, but they’re not a good defense to begin with. The 49ers defense is solid.
TJ 5:01 pm on November 19, 2011 Permalink |
Thanks, I’m sticking with SF.
One more Q for you: I have the good luck of needing to pick two to start 2 from R Rice, Murray, & Mike Bush – curious about your reasoning for ranking them as you did… I’m overthinking this way too much right now, can think of a reason to start & bench all three. Last week i sat Bush and his 30pts – luckily still won, bit it was close!
Scottie G 9:39 pm on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
I have Dez and Steve smith. Should I trade victor Cruz and Felix jones for marshawn lynch? Then I can go 3rb’s. Peterson Johnson lynch. Or I Cruz better to keep in a ppr format?
Brandon 10:44 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Hang on to Cruz. Lynch’s trade value is at its peak with all the TD’s he’s scored lately, but he should come back down to earth. You really want to see what Felix Jones does when returning from injury as well before trading him.

Which two – Ray Rice, Demarco Murray, Fred Jackson
Brandon 10:48 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Just added Rice to the list. I’d go Rice and Turner this week. The Dolphins are actually pretty good against the run and Fred Jackson could have his hands full.
krissy 11:07 pm on November 16, 2011 Permalink |
WR – David Nelson, Earl Bennett, Early Doucet — you already have my other two WR’s up there (Eric Decker and Plax) (I need to pick three.) Thx — I took over my husband’s team and really need a win this week!!
Brandon 11:26 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
They’re up there. Not high on any of them this week really, but they all have a chance to put up solid numbers.
Sarah 3:35 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Hi Brandon
quick question. i’ve been proposed a trade Steve Smith and Jeremy Maclin for Eli Manning ( my backup QB but i don’t need him anymore) and Marshawn Lynch. I am projected to do 15 pts less than my opponent on week 11 and it’s very important that I win this week. I need someone better than Ryan Matthews for my flex. what do you think? should I look somewhere else or is that a good deal?
Brandon 10:49 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
That trade looks pretty fair to me. You seem to need help at WR? I assume that’s Steve Smith of the Panthers right? Also, do you have plenty of depth at RB where you can give up Lynch?
Sarah 5:11 pm on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
Thank you. Yes, Steve Smith from Car. Panther. I have Dwayne Bowe, Roddy White ,Ted Ginn Jr as my W/R, and I picked up recently Brandon Tate from the waiver . My R/B are Ryan Matthews, Fred Jackson, MichaelTurner and I recently picked up Marshawn Lynch rthat this guy wants desperately ( don’t know why). The way our team is set up is a little different than others since we’re counting returning yard, reception yard and more (if you don’t mind taking a look at that) https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DIANfLdqlP7eaodO9cV58Ee0sg3gffR4aKFbbA-SILQ/edit?hl=en_US. This is why someone like Roddy White (overall 74 pts) has a lot less points compare to other W/R such as Steve Smith (134 pts). If you take into account all these factors, who do you think I should start as my W/R this week and who should i put as my flex?
Thank you very much;)
Brandon 9:40 am on November 19, 2011 Permalink |
Wow, a point for every 10 return yards is pretty crazy. Using that scoring system, it’s hard to bench Brandon Tate who has been putting up around 100 return yards a game or so, right? I’d make sure I get Steve Smith in your line-up as well.

Brandon 10:16 am on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
McGahee if he actually plays (which you may not know until about 10 minutes before gametime tonight) and V-Jax. If McGahee doesn’t play, it makes that decision pretty easy 🙂

Do I give DeSean another shot?? I have Steve Smith (CAR) and Laurent Robinson, and Antonio Brown on a bye. I need three, so I’m down to DeSean or Sidney Rice. I’m watching McGahee’s status but can you add Sidney Rice? THANKS
Brandon 9:46 am on November 19, 2011 Permalink |
Did you end up playing McGahee? If not, I’m not sure I gamble with DeSean Jackson if Vince Young is going to be his quarterback. Rice has a great match-up and is probably the safer play, even if his upside isn’t as high. Good luck!
Will 1:08 pm on November 17, 2011 Permalink |
OK, well now that I have a pretty nice line up, I figured I could do a little clean up and maybe do some trades for better alternates.
STARTING
Cam Newton, Car QB
LeSean McCoy, Phi RB
Fred Jackson, Buf RB
DeMarco Murray, Dal RB
A.J. Green, Cin WR *Q*
Eric Decker, Den WR
Jason Witten, Dal TE
49ers D/ST
Dan Bailey, Dal K
BENCH
Josh Freeman, TB QB **P**
Brandon Jacobs, NYG RB
Willis McGahee, Den RB **Q**
David Nelson, Buf WR **Q**
Saints D/ST D/ST **BYE**
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buf QB
Peyton Hillis*, Cle RB **O**
I just got Cam Newton, he’s projected to make about 15 fantasy points for me… but Freeman and Fitzpatrick are projected to do 14 and 15 respectively. Who should I start? I traded MJD for Newton but I’m starting to wonder whether that was a good idea…
Stephen 2:04 pm on November 18, 2011 Permalink |
I think it was definitely a good idea, since you already have McCoy/Jackson/Murray at RB. Despite shoulder issue and Detroit D, I would probably start Newton still. If I were you though, I’d see about replacing Decker with a different WR with a more pass-friendly QB though. Maybe see if anyone would take any your bench players – I’d try to swing two bench players for a solid WR1. Maybe someone would take McGahee + Freeman or Fitz? You have strong depth at QB and RB, but it may be a good idea to compromise some of that depth for a strong starting lineup at WR. Your call though.

Stumped on the WR options I have this week:
Nicks, Robinson, Branch, Nelson, Marshall, and Cruz. Yeah, I’m WR top heavy, but I have two heavyweight RB’s and utlizing my flex, and bench for the WR set. My thoughts are Marshall, Nelson and Nicks are givens. I am torn between Cruz, Robinson and Branch – but I thought I’d put them all out there in the interest of full disclosure. Love the format of this – awesome.
