Has everyone seen this ESPN fantasy football Star Wars commercial? Pretty good stuff I figured I should share…

The concept was cute, but did they have to pick one of my favorite lines from the Star Wars saga (“I find your lack of faith disturbing”) and turn it into a punchline? Oh, well, at least we now know why TK 421 wasn’t at his post.

Remember when Matt complained about ESPN’s prizes for their fantasy football challenge? Well, looks like someone won…and it was a homeless man? This also reminded me how crappy that grand prize was to begin with…

That’s freakin’ hilarious. ESPN is such a crappy fantasy football platform.

In any case, I hope you guys ended up having a good year! I won my money league, and a few more. To be honest I’m just looking forward to March Madness. I don’t even want to start thinking about the looming NFL lockout 🙁

I ended up with a second place finish in my biggest league, so that wasn’t all bad I guess. I DID get first place in a public league I was in that had no playoffs and a crazy (changing) scoring system, hah. If I want to continue to blog about fantasy football though, I need to get some more first place finishes in real leagues!

As for March Madness, I’m pretty happy with the way the UConn Huskies are currently playing. Hopefully they can make a run when the tournament comes…

Did ESPN’s Matthew Berry rip off my FAIL posts? He’s obviously poking fun at an infamous list going around the web these days, but maybe he borrowed my idea in doing it? Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?

Does anybody know what grade that Duke girl got on her thesis? I’m also wondering if she had to give a presentation lol.

    ESPN fantasy football hack exposed

Unfortunately I was a bit too slow in relaying this to “help” anyone out there, but recently Deadspin exposed a hack that allowed ESPN fantasy football players to add any player they wanted to their roster! It’s already been fixed since they originally reported it, so too bad if you’re into that obvious cheating kind of thing that is sure to get you banned from your league 🙂

Lol, I think that’s one against ESPN in the hosting war.

Please continue to share your thoughts about your fantasy football league service (Yahoo, Fleaflicker, ESPN, etc.) We’re putting together some pretty good information on the different websites out there and hopefully by next season people will have a much better idea of the options out there, along with what fits their league’s needs.

Fantasy Football Service Comparison & Review

I put this on reddit when you had originally posted it, hopefully you got some reviews then.

I really don’t like NFL.com’s new design. I really liked how last year in your game centre you could hover over a DEF and it would give you a rank in pass D, rush D etc. I have enjoyed using CBS ever since I saw you recommend it during mock draft stages this year and I’ve always gone back to Yahoo for a look/comparison. I’m a big fan of the week2week ratings/match ups. For EG most rankings had Forte above McFadden this week gone except for either CBS or Yahoo and it made me really consider starting him, I backed out in the end due to McFadden’s game being Sun 4pm not 1pm.

As a keen fantasy player I think a really useful tool (which I haven’t found) is advice in advance. I’m talking about prospective DEFs and Bye replacements. In big competitive leagues you need to be a week or so in advance. I’d love to be reading an analysis on DEF matchups for week4 in week2/3!
