Green Bay Packers win Super Bowl XLV

You already knew this, but I felt like it was necessary to mention their 31-25 victory over the Steelers last night if we wanted to maintain any notion that we were a football blog.

It also lets me start posting non-Super Bowl related things, since we’ve now moved on to bigger and better things…like the chance of having NO football next year…or the Patriots winning the next Super Bowl!

Just a couple thoughts on the big game though…

    • I feel bad for Christina Aguilera.
    • Greg Jennings’ post-game interview was awkward to watch/listen to. Seemed he was trying to remember the lines that he memorized before the game or something.
    • I may be in the minority of those who found the Justin Beiber / Ozzy Osbourne commercial funny

    Obligatory Super Bowl survey

Because fantasy football in most of its forms for the 2010-11 season is over and because you probably don’t want to bet on how long the National Anthem (sung by Christina Aguilera) will last, here’s a free bet you can make on who will win the big game!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

      I would prefer neither.

    Superbowl Poll

Vegas is giving Pittsburgh a 6.5-point edge in Super Bowl XLIII. Meanwhile, the only thing anyone seems to be talking about is Larry Fitzgerald – a damn fine receiver, no doubt, but that’s hardly a reason to think the Cards aren’t still significant underdogs in this one, right?

Who wins the 2011 FFGeekBlog.com Bowl?

    • Brandon (57%, 4 Votes)
    • Matt (43%, 3 Votes)

    Total Voters: 7

Go Cardinals! No team with an offense as boring as the Steelers offense deserves to win the Superbowl.

I would be thrilled to see the Cards win one, and I’m even a half-assed Steelers fan. But the Cards are the type of team that, in every Super Bowl ever, gets picked against but looks on paper to be a great matchup and makes us say, “If they can just …. then they could win…”. This team folds. Every time. Will the Cards? We’ll find out!
